Dr. Jiang graduated from Nanjing Medical University and he has been engaged in clinical ophthalmology for 30 years. He has participated in compiling many national textbooks, for example, the associate editor of the English version of Ophthalmology; the general editor of The Handbook for Ophthalmological Chief Physician; the editorial board member of the third edition of Ophthalmology (for eight-year-program students); the third edition of Epidemiology; Doctor-Patient Communication published by People's Medical Publishing House; Handbook of Nutrition, Diet, and the Eye; Chinese Journal of Ophthalmology; Recent Advances in Ophthalmology; Guidance of Three Basic Training for Medical Workers published by Southeast University Press. Dr. Jiang has taken charge of three projects funded by National Science Foundation, one project funded by Jiangsu Science Foundation, one project funded by Jiangsu Science Foundation for Colleges and Universities and one Nanjing Key Project. Dr. Jiang has been awarded the first prize of Achievements in Scientific Research of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, the third prize of Chinese Medical Science and Technology Prize, the first prize of Jiangsu Medical Science and Technology Advancement Prize, the first prize of Science and Technology Advancement Prize awarded by Jiangsu Health Department, the first prize of New Medical Technology Introduction Award and the third prize of Jiangsu Science and Technology Advancement Prize for two times. Dr. Jiang has studied at Nagoya University in Japan from 1993 to 1994, taught by a world-famous professor who is expert in ocular fundus diseases and vitreoretinal surgery. Dr. Jiang is well proficient and experienced in diagnosis, treatment and operation for vitreoretinal diseases, ocular traumas, cataract, glaucoma and other complicated ocular diseases. Dr. Jiang is the first in Jiangsu Province to perform phacoemulsification combined with IOL implantation for cataract, vitreoretinal microtechnique，keratoplasty, anterior eyeball reconstruction and laser vision correction for myopia and presbyopia, making great contribution to the promotion of medical level in Ophthalmology and the prevention and treatment of blindness in Jiangsu Province.
